Why are my bundle items not added as separate line items to a particular bundle order?

First confirm that you did not disable adding bundle items as separate line items to bundle orders in your app settings.

Assuming the above setting had not been disabled, the reason may be that this particular order was placed in a different currency to your store's currency.

To understand why: Bundle Kit's 'unbundling order' feature depends on Shopify's order edit functionality.

Unfortunately, Shopify currently does not allow anyone (merchant or app) to edit an order if:

  • The order was placed in a different currency to your store's currency. If your store sells in multiple currencies, then you can edit only orders that are in your store's currency.
  • The order is more than 60 days old.

Apologies for not having a workaround to this issue at the moment!

We will update this page when the order edit limitation is lifted by Shopify.

Note that this does not affect Bundle Kit's real-time inventory sync functionality.
